TJ Holmes and Amy Robach discovered running the New York Half Marathon after regular sex workouts

TJ Holmes and Amy Robach were spotted preparing for the cold weather to run the New York City Half Marathon this morning — the first time they’ve done it as a couple.

In photos obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com, Holmes, 45, and Robach, 50, are seen pounding the pavement in both Times Square and Central Park during the 13.1-mile event — shortly after they were photographed near the starting line in Brooklyn.

In the second half of the marathon in two years, the race marks the former anchors’ first since news of their relationship lost their jobs last year — and it comes on the heels of or reports of their plans to run while undercover.

Their relationship, which was revealed by DailyMail.com in November, has cost them their marriages and their contracts at ABC, as they both ended their stints at GMA3 with severance payments in January. The couple has since struggled to stay out of the public eye, having been snapped several times since a February trip to Mexico where they packed on a PDA.

Since the trip, the couple has reportedly been preparing for the event in Manhattan and Brooklyn by keeping up Their fitness through ‘intimate’ sex workouts which insiders revealed to DailyMail.com earlier have gotten them into ‘the best shape of their lives’.

Posted by DailyMail.com across the East River to Prospect shortly before sunrise, Snappers confirmed suspicions that the pair were about to run the relatively under-the-radar event, which will end at noon, waiting for any stragglers.

Before crossing the finish line, the pair were dressed for the occasion—in hats, gloves, and appropriate sports gear as temperatures were just below freezing in the somewhat unknown event—which, despite their almost drawn 25,000 runners, he often outperforms them in full city marathons.

Notable names rumored to join the couple include retired giants who run the Tiki Barber and reality TV stars Andy Dorfman and Peter Weber.

They set off from Brooklyn’s Prospect Park at exactly 7 a.m., before taking off across the East River across the Manhattan Bridge into Manhattan, before racing along the river on the city’s Lower East Side.

After this stage, Robach — an avid runner who previously ran such events with ex-husband Andrew Shaw — and Holmes were first photographed while running in the race, as the pair were seen skimming from the river into downtown.

Like its more famous and full-fledged counterpart, the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon is held only once a year, and comes as a slight inconvenience to Sunday drivers as it is one of the only events that completely shuts down Times Square.

However, the race is far from a show-stopping event and relatively unknown to most New Yorkers, as it got far less coverage than the city’s popular five-block event—and drew less than half the number of runners.

This pseudo-ambiguity may have played a role in Robach and Holmes’ decision to appear in the first wave of three separate groups of runners, preceded by professional wheelchair- and hand-cycling athletes.

The couple seemed to, for the most part, avoid media scrutiny — though wearing flashy, lightweight running shoes served to show off their not-so-subtle nature.

Sporting warm tracksuits and long, tight sessions, the pair were still snapped up by DailyMail.com, however, as they headed to the starting line — just days after an insider admitted the pair’s intense training regimen for the event consisted of calorie-burning wrap sessions, held behind closed doors.

“TJ and Amy have gone full circle,” a source said of how the couple planned to organize the event, and they’re feeling strong now that news of their secret tryst is now known.

“Their relationship blossomed into more than just friendship when they were both training for a half marathon last year,” the source explained.

“And now, a year later, they are committed fans who are ready to prove their mettle in racing this weekend.”

A friend of the couple added, “They are in the best shape of their lives, and one of the reasons for that is their very active sex lives.”

They asked: are they in the Kama Sutra? I can not say. But besides their intense training, their workouts also give them more stamina.

The couple previously ran the New York City Marathon together in November — just a few weeks before DailyMail.com revealed that the broadcast journalists were having an affair.

Now a full couple, both stars undergo high-profile splits with their partners, but they are no strangers to being seen together.

They were last seen on Friday looking relaxed as news began to surface of Rohrbach’s divorce from ex Andrew Shaw after 12 years of marriage.

Meanwhile, Holmes was in the midst of his second divorce from wife Marilee Febig – more than ten years after an expensive split from first wife Amy Pearson saw a judge rule that the former couple “do not molest” each other.

The news anchor was marrying attorney Fiebig, with the couple remaining married for 13 years, until it was revealed that he had been secretly seeing a fellow anchor for several months late last year.

Meanwhile, Robach and Shaw’s marriage fell apart last August shortly after the actor, 56, learned of his wife’s affair with her co-star and moved out of their West Village apartment.

Despite their separation and the GMA fans publicly continuing their romance, the details of the divorce have managed to remain under wraps after Robach and Shue chose to work out an out-of-court settlement.

However, the exes had to arrange a custody agreement for Maltipoo, Brody, who was a part of The Robach and Shue family have blended since 2014.

But the two appeared to reach a joint custody deal early in their separation, as they were seen delivering the puppy in an awkward encounter in January, DailyMail.com reported at the time.

On Thursday, Shaw was seen picking up the dog again, in the wake of the divorce agreement, this time from his estranged stepdaughter outside Robach’s Manhattan home.

The father-of-three appeared to be in good spirits and spoke briefly with his once-stepdaughter, who later offered him a consoling hug before the two went their separate ways.

Meanwhile, Robach was seen beaming with joy on Friday when she stepped out with beau TJ Holmes in New York City.
