A new report suggests that conservatives and Republicans could cut off media access in the 2024 election cycle as GOP lawmakers and candidates search for alternative communication channels to tell their stories.
The potential for the precarious position of the foundation’s media was captured in an article on Tuesday by Dispatch’s David Drucker in which he said he warned Republican lawmakers and candidates heading into the 2024 election cycle could “try to freeze key journalists,” crippling television networks’ content creation and crushing their claims of political neutrality.
NEW: The GOP presidential campaigns appear to be preparing to freeze the mainstream media in the 2024 contest. Will it work? An insightful portion of reports from @employee.https://t.co/p2tk99O6pc

Institutional media could be stifled by conservatives, Drucker warned, because “many of the young GOP recruiters who have come of age in the past decade are still not accustomed to working with mainstream journalists.”
Public trust in the national news media has declined in recent years. For example, a February poll found that 50 percent of Americans say the national media intends to mislead, mislead, and persuade the public. Only 35 percent said most news organizations could be relied upon.
Fortunately, they are so disturbed that people are waking up to the scam.
In a recent public opinion poll, “Fifty percent of Americans feel most national news organizations intend to mislead, mislead, or persuade the public.”

Garrett Ventry, a GOP strategist who advises Republican House Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-NY), told Breitbart News that Republican lawmakers are turning to alternative strategies for reaching out to Americans because of the unfair coverage.
Just last week, Stefanik was targeted by a taxpayer-funded NPR affiliate. In an article published by Breitbart News, Stefanik’s office hit back, calling out the “sexist” network for “lying” to its readers.
“Republicans are making smart use of other avenues to get their message across rather than relying on the mainstream press,” Ventry said. Trump began this clever strategy when he ran for president in 2016, by reaching out to conservative media outlets to take his message to millions of readers and voters.

Some Republicans may worry that if they do not engage with foundational media stories, their media presence may diminish – and yet their distorted positions may be presented to viewers and readers of those media outlets.
If Republicans refuse to work with enterprise outlets, Firebrand co-founder Vish Bora told Breitbart News they may be forced to air or publish fairer content from alternative media just to get a GOP perspective in their products.
“Enterprise media are slaves to the media cycle, so one way or another, as long as there is a quote or an essay on the topic that the Foundation Journal is dedicated to covering, they will take that content wherever they can get it and broadcast it on their networks no matter where that content comes from.” Bora said.
While some of these establishment media outlets may face further backlash from conservative lawmakers and candidates, many are already. lagging Revenue amid declining ratings.

CNN, “a far-left propaganda outlet that spreads conspiracy theories and political violence,” according to Breitbart News reporter John Nolte, experienced a massive drop in ratings and profitability. In January, CNN’s ratings fell to a nine-year low. MSNBC fared a little better.
Newspapers don’t work any better. last year , Washington Post He admitted that he was on his way to losing money in 2022. The New York Times mentioned:
The organization is on track to lose money in 2022, after years of profitability, according to two people familiar with the company’s finances. The Post now has just under three million paying digital subscribers that it welcomed internally towards the end of 2020, according to several people in the organization. The Post’s digital ad revenue fell to nearly $70 million during the first half of the year, about 15 percent lower than it was in the first half of 2021, according to a recent internal financial document reviewed by The New York Times.
Republican media consultants seem to recognize the limited influence of establishment media.
“I’m increasingly hearing from my clients that they don’t want to talk to me The New York Timesthe Washington Post or CNN,” Brad Todd, a Republican strategist, told Drucker. “Their argument is: Our voters don’t care what they write, so why should we care what they write?”
Republican consultant Todd Harris also told Drucker that Republicans were previously forced to work with establishment media, but that’s not true anymore. “It was like, you’re dealing with the mainstream media because that’s what you’re supposed to do,” he said. “But now, there is an element of risk and reward. If you’re going to do it, there better be reward.”
