Ireland’s pro-transgender government is now looking to erase the word “woman” from the country’s constitution, the leader of a populist party has claimed.
Irish Freedom Party leader Herman Kelly told Breitbart Europe that Ireland’s transgender government now aims to strip the word “woman” from the Irish constitution in pursuit of its progressive goals.
The country’s authorities have spent the past week pushing for “transgender issues” to be taught in the country’s schools – although one of the country’s largest school unions has come out to rebuke the plan as not having the support of a “scientific or medical consensus”.
Leo Varadkar, Ireland’s first openly gay prime minister and first ethnic minority, or Taoiseach, has now announce that the country will hold a referendum in November this year to rescind part of the country’s constitution that gives special protection to women’s right to domestic life, arguing that this amounts to “discrimination” against women due to their historical role as caregivers.
However, Kelly instead suggests that the referendum – a text that has yet to be agreed upon – is not about protecting women, but about removing gendered language from the Constitution.
The party leader told Breitbart Europe: “It’s about gender confusion, the erasure of the word ‘woman’ from the constitution, with the passage protecting a woman’s place in the home already being only time The word is used in the current draft of the country’s central legal document.
Kelly went on to say that the state authorities were looking to undermine the idea that only women could bear children, saying that the government needed to acknowledge the biological reality that men and women are different.
He said, “I woke up crap.” “We need to put biology and family before transgenderism and erase the word ‘woman’.”

By contrast, the upcoming referendum was largely welcomed by NGOs and Ireland’s political elite, with one pro-transgender group Connection The current language used in the document is “outdated and sexist”.
Meanwhile, officials have continued their crusade to see transgender education in the country’s schools, despite facing significant resistance from religious groups, parents and one of Ireland’s largest school associations.
After the country’s prime minister and deputy prime minister (Tanist) have already expressed support for the progressive ideology being taught in schools, Ireland’s left-wing president came out on Thursday in apparent support of reforms.
Although transgenderism is not explicitly indicated, President Michael D. Higgins He said that schools in the country should be forced to teach sex in its “full sense”, adding that any educational institution that refuses to do so should be punished.
“The requirement to show respect, and the right to experience it, should be available to everyone,” he said. “It needs to be taught, encouraged, and acknowledged.”
It follows an earlier statement by the head of state condemning members of the public protesting against the country’s open borders policy as “sowing hatred”.
“These people who go around whipping people and whatnot, you’ve never seen them before calling for housing, or for women’s rights, or for equal rights of any kind,” he claimed, channeling Hillary Clinton by describing the actions of the predominantly protest movement Laborism is not “deplorable” or “irreparable” but as “inexcusable”.
